Why Wednesday is coming 🌿

There’s a local event coming up featuring Re**er Madness a film that played a major role in shaping early cannabis stigma.

The way cannabis was portrayed then was heavily influenced by fear, misinformation, and cultural narratives that stuck for decades.

This week’s Why Wednesday breaks down where that messaging came from and why it still matters today.

Why Wednesday is coming 🌿

Have you ever noticed that cannabis can make you more aware of your body?

Like suddenly you’re noticing your breathing, your posture, or even small sensations you normally ignore.
That’s not random... it’s how cannabis interacts with sensory processing in the brain.

This week’s Why Wednesday breaks it down simply.

📣 Did you know your cannabis can lose potency just sitting there?

A lot of people think their tolerance is going up… but sometimes it’s actually the product changing.

Cannabis isn’t as stable as people think. The active compounds... like THC and the terpenes that affect how it feels, smells, and tastes are sensitive to light, heat, and air.

Over time:
• THC slowly breaks down into other cannabinoids (which can change the effects)
• Terpenes evaporate or degrade (so flavor and symptom relief can feel weaker or different)

And here’s the part most people don’t realize... different products break down at different speeds.

Concentrates (like wax, rosin, live products) are the most fragile. They’re packed with terpenes, so they lose quality the fastest if they’re exposed to light or heat.

Flower is a little more forgiving, but it still dries out and loses potency over time, especially if it’s in a clear jar or being opened a lot.

Oils and carts are more stable, but they’re not immune. You might notice the oil getting darker or the flavor changing before anything else.

So if your cannabis isn’t hitting like it did when you first got it… it might not be your body. It might be how it’s been stored.

The basics matter more than people think:
Keep it cool
Keep it dark
Keep it sealed

Small changes in storage can make a big difference in how your cannabis works and how much value you’re actually getting out of it.

Headlines love extremes but the truth is more nuanced.

Cannabis isn’t a cure-all, and it’s not the villain either. It’s a tool. When used intentionally, it can help manage symptoms and support balance in the body.

The real issue? Lack of education, guidance, and individualized use.

That’s where I come in. 🌿💡

It's not a cure. It's symptom management and homeostasis.

It's not a cure. It's symptom management and homeostasis.

Researchers said they found no evidence that medical cannabis is effective for treating bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or anorexia nervosa.
