This class blends the slow depth of Yin Yoga with the soothing comfort of Restorative Yoga with supportive props, finishing with a guided Yoga Nidra meditation.
We’ll open the body, calm the mind, and move into a state of deep conscious rest. Perfect for anyone needing to slow down, release tension, and restore from the inside out.
Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues, rather than the muscles. We hold poses for longer to gently and therapeutically stress those tissues and increase mobility and circulation in those deeper layers.
Restorative Yoga is about complete and total relaxation and nervous system reset. Every part of the body is supported with props as in bolster, blanket, blocks with no effort at all. The goal is comfort, stillness, and rest. It's less about stretching tissue and more about calming the mind and balancing the nervous system into rest and digest state.
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that leads you into a state between wakefulness and sleep — known as the theta brain wave state — where the nervous system can deeply restore and the mind naturally releases stress.
