We’ll be open during normal hours between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday, and 9 am to 1pm Saturday starting September 14, 2021. Our power kicked back on at 8:30 am this morning, and we’ve just finished prepping the store. It was quite a challenge to operate with limited essential resources, but we tried our best to resume operations with the emergency phone line. We appreciate your understanding during these difficult times.

I’d like to thank our staff for working tirelessly throughout the day. Quite simply, it was three times the work. 1/2 our staff had to relocate for the storm, and the few that remained worked relentlessly. I cannot say, ‘thank you’ enough. As always, we’ve tried our best to put our patient’s health our priority.

We're working on reopening as soon as possible. Luckily, most of the damages are superficial, and we did not sustain much water damage. Our roof is already repaired. In fact, as soon as the power is activated, we're ready to roll up our sleeves to help our community. However, with the phone lines down, please keep in touch with us at 504-432-5797 if you need us to do anything for you.

We're able to retrieve the server from the pharmacy, set it up, and can now help all our patients with their meds. If you've evacuated to a different state, please keep in mind that different states have different laws. Therefore, we must abide by the law you are currently in. Again, you can reach me at 504-432-5797. As we rebuild, there will be times when I'll be in an area where there will be no signal. Please be patient. I'll call you back as soon as possible. Raceland’s Pharmacy Express sustained some damage from hurricane IDA. As I write this, I’ve not been able to assess the extent of the damage. Power is out throughout the city, and we are even unsure if water is potable. However, as we rebuild, our patients are our priority. AT&T is currently down right now, so social media will be our only form of communication. I will be very transparent and do my best to post on a daily basis. I plan to do the following thing(s) today as I assess the extent of the damage:

1.) Set up the computer server to a secure location to allow our patients access to their prescriptions. Another option is to contact your provider to call in your prescription to an alternative location of your choice.
a. The emergency phone number is (504) 432-5797. There is currently no service with AT&T, but please leave a message. We will get to it as soon as possible.
b. You can also send us a direct message via Facebook. I will check the messages throughout the day.
2.) Rebuild! Rebuild! Rebuild!
a. We’ve already contacted a contractor to start the rebuilding process.
b. I will do what I can in the meantime to expedite the process.

We’d like to thank our patients for allowing us to serve you all for the last 10 years. Although, this is not the way we’d like to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we will try our best to make sure that there are many more 10 years to come. As always, be safe. Raceland’s Pharmacy Express is closely monitoring Hurricane Ida. We will try our best to stay open during normal hours for our patients. Our generators are prepped and ready, however we pray we won’t have to utilize it. If needed, we will post an emergency contact number so that you will not go without your medications should you decide to evacuate. Please stay safe!

There’s an increase of Covid-19 infections as more states allow more businesses to reopen. We’d like to thank our loyal patients for simply continuing to wear face masks when entering the pharmacy. This simple act will definitely prevent the spread of this disease. Y’all stay safe and thank you for your cooperation.
