Racine Placenta Encapsulation

Racine Placenta Encapsulation An age old tradition, becoming increasingly more popular in our country and with this generation, Placenta consumption can be very beneficial for a new mother!

Benefits include:

Preventing or lessening the risk of Postpartum Depression and/or Baby Blues. Replenishing Iron from blood loss during birth. Oxycontin, the “love hormone” which helps mother bond with baby and ease the stress of becoming a mother. Provides HPL hormone, which aids in producing a healthy milk supply for the nursing mother. Stabilizes hormones. Replenishes B vitamins and energy. Protection from infection and extended bleeding. Natural pain relief. The placenta can be consumed in many different ways, each providing their own benefits! Please contact me to schedule your consultation! Placenta Services include:
- Encapsulation
Steamed or raw preparation, both methods include washing and dehydrating the placenta completely before grinding into a fine powder. Capsules are then filled and packaged. Capsule amount will vary client to client, depending on the size of the placenta and method chosen to process. Anywhere from 150-250 capsules is average. Steamed preparation includes steaming the placenta for 15 minutes, often times with ginger, lemon and orange slices, then dehydrated. Raw preparation includes dehydrating the placenta while it is still raw, no steaming or cooking prior. This method often takes longer, at times up to 24 hours for dehydration alone.

Strawberry flavored capsules available as a $10 add on.

- Tinctures
A tincture can be made from raw (steamed) placenta or from dehydrated grounds. The raw method will yield a stronger tincture. Placenta is kept in 100% proof alcohol (I use brandy) for 6 weeks. Tinctures have an unlimited shelf life. Often clients choose to save their tincture to use during menopause, however you can utilize the tincture at any time. Tinctures offer the same benefits as encapsulation, but in a smaller concentrated mixture. A few drops at a time is all you need.

- Truffles or Lactation bites
Don’t swallow pills easily or hard to consider ingesting placenta in pill form? A yummy chocolate truffle is an easy way to receive all the benefits and get a tasty treat! Another great way to gain the benefits while giving your milk supply an extra boost is with lactation bites! Made with oatmeal, brewer's yeast, flax seed, peanut butter, coconut oil, chocolate and add in the powdered placenta! These bites pack a powerful punch giving you energy with the loaded protein and healthy fats. You gain the benefit of ingesting the placenta while tasting chocolate!

- Prints
Made with food grade dyes, on water color paper, placenta prints are a wonderful keepsake to have! Since food grade dye is being used, it is still safe to encapsulate and ingest after the print has been made

Smoothie:
Steamed placenta is sliced into small sections and blended with fresh fruits and vegetables to make a nutrient rich smoothie. Placenta is cut, packaged and frozen for client to make their own smoothies at home. For immediate use, placenta would not be frozen. Cord Keepsake:
Dehydrating the umbilical cord into a spiral or heart to be kept in a baby book or shadow box, is a wonderful reminder of the bond and connection one shares with their child while in the womb.

It is World Breastfeeding Week! August 1 - August 7
Did you know that consuming your placenta can increase breastmilk production? Well it can! Many women that consume their placenta postpartum have experienced increased breastmilk production. This helps give mom peace of mind that baby is getting enough to eat and makes for a fed and happy baby :).

Hello All! I am excited about taking over this business. I would like to thank Naomi for the kind words and know that I will have large shoes to fill. She has been very helpful and supportive in this transition. I hope that I can provide the same level of service that she has. I truly believe in this service and the benefits that come from providing it. I have always been interested/passionate about health, wellness, and natural healing. This business will provide a way for me to share that and to also increase my knowledge in it. I have updated all of the contact info to reflect my information. Please feel free to call, text, or FB message me with any questions or for a consult.

Hello friends!! I just wanted to make an important announcement!! I (Naomi) am no longer doing placenta encapsulation. These last 6 years have been such a blessing getting to know all of you and assist in your postpartum healing. However, Racine Placenta Encapsulation is not closing its doors. My friend Shannon will be taking over the business. I have full trust in her and I'll always be available for questions. If you want to connect on my personal page, feel free to find me :) Naomi Nowak

Shannon will be managing this page and able to answer any messages that come in.

Hello! I haven't been very active on this page, but I wanted to drop in to let you all know I am not actively pursuing placenta encapsulation at this time. As my kids are getting older, and staying up later it's getting harder for me to do the encapsulation process. As I use my own home and kitchen for my work, I wait till the kids are in bed so I can sanitize and prepare and it takes a few hours of work in the evening to get everything started.

I do however have a few people I have been recommending for placenta services, so please feel free to reach out to me for that! It has been almost 6 years of me running this business and I've loved getting to help so many mothers! ❤️

Fun facts about placentas 😁

P L A C E N T A ❤️
the only temporary organ, a multifunctional organ, acting as baby's lungs to supply oxygen, kidneys to filter out waste, and as gastrointestinal and immune systems by delivering nutrients and antibodies.

• MATERNAL SIDE:
attached to uterine wall

• FETAL SIDE:
connected to baby via umbilical cord

✨ The placenta detaches from the inside of the uterus after the baby is born, this leaves behind a wound 6-8 inches in diameter that needs time for healing to ward off infection and hemorrhaging—at least 4-6 weeks for the wound to completely heal.

One of the many reasons birth givers need lots of rest and community care to recover & heal✨

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that Placenta Encapsulation is STILL an option for you, even during the COVID-19 craziness. (unless you yourself have a current positive test result at time of delivery.)

Hope you are all staying safe and healthy! As always, feel free to message me with any questions you may have.

It seems strange to say, but I JUST started taking my capsules this last week, after almost 6 months. I had quite an over supply with milk production, so when I took my capsules earlier on I'd get pretty engorged too quickly. The over supply was helpful to an extent as I have been able to give a close friend my extra milk for her baby.

I really wish I'd been able to take the capsules though, as I've had some lingering baby blues/PPD and I know it would have made my transition with two kiddos easier to have some of those good hormone balancing effects.

Now at almost 6 months postpartum, my milk has finally regulated and I started taking my capsules as needed. And I just want to say...WOW! They seriously work. I do have increased energy, increased milk, and my mood is generally better when I take them. Even though I've waited 6 months to start them, the effects are still strong and I'm so happy about that!!

I generally tell people to take 2-3 capsules with each meal when you first have a baby, but remember that doesn't mean you have to...read your own body, if it's not enough, take more. Too much? Take less. Having over supply issues, maybe wait like I did and try again later. I'm so glad I encapsulated my own placenta, and I have a tincture for later as well. It might not have been my ideal postpartum story, but I'm happy I did everything I could to try to make this postpartum time easier. ❤️

Have any of you tried your tinctures yet? I'm looking for feedback on how you feel taking tincture vs capsules!
