OUR GOAL:
is to provide a variety of referral based services to geographically-dispersed Veterans, military families and retirees from all military components. We strive to ensure that the needs of the Soldier and Family are met and their well-being is maintained as they transition back from war into civilian life. Our vision is to improve the quality of life of Soldiers and their Families by providing responsive, efficient and high quality support services that promote self-sufficiency, well-being and prosperity of our warriors and families. The program also provides assistance in navigating Federal and State systems and helps connect Warriors and Families with the necessary financial, educational, employment, legal and medical resources. ORW can provide links to valuable Federal programs, including healthcare, retirement and disability compensation, transition assistance, VA adaptive housing and vehicle assistance, VA education and training, VA vocational rehabilitation 11and employment, and certain Department of Labor programs.

ORW helps veterans and their dependents in the presentation, proof and establishment of all claims, privileges, rights and other veteran benefits which they may have under federal, state or local laws. Those other benefits include access to veteran’s nursing homes, burial with honors in veteran’s cemeteries, benefits counseling, and specific assistance for homeless veterans.
