After seven years of serving as Raeford's premier pharmacy, Rockfish Pharmacy will cease operations on December 11, 2024, due to unforeseen external circumstances. The primary factors contributing to this decision are the significantly lower reimbursement rates offered by Medicare, TriCare, and other insurance companies to independent pharmacies compared to chain pharmacies. Pharmacy Benefit Managers are largely responsible for these unfair practices affecting independent pharmacies.

In the coming weeks, we will gradually reduce inventory while continuing to fill prescriptions until depletion. We kindly request that patients choose a new pharmacy and arrange for prescription transfers by contacting the new pharmacy and requesting they reach out to us. Please note that prescription transfers will not be possible after December 11.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our valued patients, many of whom have become long-standing friends, and will cherish the relationships formed.
