Before scheduling your brow appointment, PLEASE make sure you read this ⬇️
🚫 Eyebrow waxing contraindications
- Sunburn, recent tanning, or windburn
- Active acne, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea in the brow area
- Open wounds, cuts, or abrasions
- Recent facial treatments (chemical peels, microdermabrasion, microneedling within the last 7–14 days)
- Use of retinoids, Retin-A, Accutane, or other exfoliating/topical vitamin A products (stop use 5-7 days beforehand)
- Blood-thinning medications or conditions that affect healing
- Very sensitive or reactive skin
- Skin infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal) in the treatment area
- Allergy to wax ingredients
🚫 Eyebrow lamination contraindications
- Skin conditions around the brows (eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis)
- Broken or irritated skin
- Allergies to perming or lifting solutions
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding (consultation required due to potential increased skin sensitivity)
- Extremely sparse or over-plucked brows (may not achieve desired results)
- Recent brow tattooing or microblading (within the past 6–8 weeks)
- Blepharitis or other eye infections
- Recent use of retinoids or exfoliants near the brow area (stop use 5-7 days beforehand)
🚫 Eyebrow tinting contraindications
History of allergic reactions to hair dye or tint
Active skin conditions or broken skin around the brow area
Eye infections, styes, or recent eye surgery
Blepharitis, conjunctivitis, or any irritation around the eyes
Contact lens wearers (should remove lenses before the appointment)
Use of retinoids or AHA/BHA near the brows (skin may be too sensitive)
Ignoring contraindications can lead to skin burns or irritation, allergic reactions, infection or prolonged healing, unsatisfactory results
