The pharmacy world took another step in the right direction yesterday!

SB252, the pharmacy access/PBM reform bill passed unanimously out of the Alabama House of Representatives.

We want to thank all of our Rainsville Drugs patrons for all their hard work contacting our legislators to verify the importance of the passage of this bill.

We want to thank our very own Bobby Giles for his tireless efforts behind the scenes to help bring this bill to fruition.

And we want to thank all of the legislators in our great state (including our own Nathaniel Ledbetter and Steve Livingston) for listening to their constituents going through the necessary steps to pass legislation to help keep us around to serve our patients and ensure fair reimbursement on the prescriptions we fill for commercial insurances.

SB252 is now on its way to Governor Ivey’s desk for her signature. Without all of you none of this would have been possible.

Support SB252 to keep your community pharmacy open. Don't believe the PBM-funded lies. This is NOT A TAX, and there is no additional cost to patients. If you have questions, please reach out to your local pharmacist.

Please reach out to your legislators and ask them to support SB252. PBM reform will benefit patients, employers and pharmacies. THIS IS NOT A TAX!! Other states that have enacted some sort of PBM reform have all saved a significant amount of money.

Thank you to all 29 senators who have co-sponsored the bill, we really appreciate your efforts.

Treating Our Customers and Patients Like Family

Stacy Sharp Giles and her husband, Bob Giles, both fresh out of pharmacy school, opened Rainsville Drugs in the winter of 1992. From day 1, our goal at Rainsville Drugs has been to treat each and every patient with the same care and concern that we would give to our own family. Over the years, we have had employees come and go, but our desire to serve hasn’t changed, and we hope that we can serve you and your family like OUR family.
