Meet Autumn Crane, LPTA!!!
Autumn Crane is a rare blend of clinical excellence, creativity, and heart and her patients feel it the moment they meet her. With over 30 years of experience in physical therapy, Autumn brings an extraordinary ability to connect with people, guide healing conversations, and help patients truly understand their bodies.
She is especially known for her strengths in patient communication, posture re-education, and balance training, and she has a genuine passion for working with patients who struggle with balance, stability, and fall prevention. She has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, making her a trusted provider for post-operative, injury-based, and high-functioning orthopedic patients as well. Autumn is highly trained in identifying balance deficits and designing creative, confidence-building programs that help patients feel safer and more independent in their daily lives. She is also known for her innovative approaches to pain management and weight loss. Autumn has worked with patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and her passions for dance, aquatics, and movement-based wellness deeply shape her treatment style. Patients naturally gravitate toward her calm presence, empathy, and intuitive understanding of what they need to move and feel better.
Beyond patient care, Autumn is a gifted leader. She has extensive experience in clinic operations, business development, sales, and team leadership, having served as an operations manager, sales director, and regional trainer for multiple physical therapy practices throughout her career. Her ability to manage people with compassion, creativity, and clarity makes her a true asset to both patients and staff.
Autumn’s background is uniquely diverse. She studied dance and theater at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, earned an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Pennsylvania State University, and completed her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Alvernia University. Her lifelong integration of the arts and science of movement gives her a distinctive perspective on rehabilitation, neurology, and mobility research.
When asked why she chose healthcare, Autumn shares that physical therapy perfectly united her love of the arts with her desire to advance research in mobility disorders and sports psychology, allowing creativity, innovation, and healing to coexist.
Outside the clinic, Autumn is deeply involved in community development projects and has a genuine love for life. Fun facts: she loves roller coasters, floating in a lazy river, and is always drawn to movies based on true stories.
We are incredibly grateful she chose to make Fort Payne home, and even more grateful our patients get to experience her care.
🩷 If you’ve already worked with Autumn, feel free to show her some love in the comments 🩷
