Sutra 2.45.

This sacred sutra guides us to look beyond self effort and ego. Devotion + surrender open the doorway to eternal truth. Surrender is the path and the practice.

WORKSHOP: YOGA MYTHOLOGY — BHAGAVAD GITA 🫀

The Bhagavad Gita encourages self study and reflection while practicing detachment from personal reward during one’s spiritual journey. The moral + emotional dilemmas faced by Arjuna are beautifully crafted to explore the journey of human life through the practice of Bhakti, Kharma and Jhana yoga!!

Join and 10/11-10/13 for a weekend of reading, exploring, discussing and applying the lessons of this mythical scripture to the way we practice yoga in the modern world.

We will discuss our individual understandings of the scripture, spend time journaling and explore practical applications + ways to share the Gita with others through action, devotion and self inquiry.

Students and teachers are welcome to attend this workshop!! Instructors outside of the 300 hour teacher training, this workshop does qualify for 20 hours of continuing education through the Yoga Alliance. Please plan to read or reread the Bhagavad Gita in preparation for the weekend.

WHOLE —
we unraveled the change in season with a 360 practice of breath work, asana and meditation yesterday afternoon - diving deep into our breath, our body + our soul all surrounded by the community 🧶

as we continue to explore non attachment for the month of September, the equinox provided the perfect landing pad to slip beneath all that we hold onto in Summer months,
knowing that it is the nature of things to change. 🍂

This upcoming Pisces Full Moon, coupled with a lunar eclipse, invites us to embrace the dreamy and compassionate qualities of this water sign!! Ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, imagination, and spirituality, Pisces brings an atmosphere rich with creativity, psychic sensitivity, and occasionally.. confusion.

It’s crucial to stay intentional, tune out distractions, and follow your intuition. Make time for daydreaming and use this eclipse season to connect deeply with your spiritual and emotional self!! Moon circles are a powerful way to tend to our spiritual + emotional selves during this time of heightened energy. 🩻

♾️ BEYOND DUALITIES ♾️

The Tao states “When people see some things as beautiful, ugliness is created. When people see some things as good, evil is created. The corporeal and incorporeal produce each other. Difficult and easy complement each other. Long and short define each other. High and low depend on each other. Before and after follow each other.
The Sage lives openly with apparent duality and paradoxical unity. Therefore they acts without doing anything and teaches without saying a word. Things arise and they let them come; things disappear and they let them go. They have but don’t possess, and acts without any expectations. When their work is done, they take no credit. That is why it will last forever.”

▪️Singularity + Abstraction,
▪️Finite + Infinite,
