This is our animated class. It is the NEWEST class on Storybook Ninja. It is 25 minutes long and will most likely be completed over the course of 2 to 3 classes. Every student completes their projects at their own pace.
Our animated storybook writing class is guided by one of our friendly teachers and uses the Powtoon platform. The platform is pretty simple to understand and allows the child to have so much creative liberty! That's why we love to use Powtoon so much.
Students can choose music, characters, themes, props, and can even write out their story on the slides using text bubbles or text boxes. Every animated story is different and unique. The teacher helps with the timing of how each piece of the slide appears and the student creates the story and builds it.
At the end of the video, the child can choose to narrate the story using their own voice. The final video project will be sent to parents as an mp4 file. The video project will also be added to the student's private folder on Youtube. All the links will be available to the student.
Note: There is also an option for the child to use a premade template where the characters and pictures are already selected. For instance, if a child only wants to add text, they may select a premade template and have the teacher write the text on each slide. Like we said, every story is unique, even if the project contains the same template slides. We find it fascinating how different stories can be from student to student.
