Motherhood is not always joy, gratitude, patience, and confidence. It's not always cute onesies, pastel-perfect nurseries, and calm evenings nursing in a rocking chair.

It's hard. You're tired. You're frustrated and nervous and sad. And you might resent the baby for making you feel this way.

That's a lot to carry. You don't need to navigate this alone.

For some parts of our state, obtaining maternal mental healthcare can be a challenge. In rural areas, according to women may face even higher risks of perinatal mood disorders because of "geographic isolation, poverty, and limited access to care."

Anchor Perinatal Wellness believes all women should have the important tools provided through effective mental healthcare regardless of their geographic location. That's one of the reasons we provide a virtual option for our Intensive Outpatient Program.
