Charles D. Harr, MD, attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, and received his medical degree in 1983. Furthermore, he conducted his general surgery residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, now Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC (1983-1988). In addition, he completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Harr received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery as well as board certification in cardiothoracic surgery from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. To stay active in his field, he is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons - North Carolina Chapter, the General Thoracic Surgical Club, and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association. In addition to his medical degree, he holds an undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN, and an MBA degree from Wake Forest University School of Business (2016).
