Static stretching is a temporary band-aid for a movement problem. ๐Ÿ›‘

Weโ€™ve all been there: holding a hip flexor stretch for 60 seconds, feeling a little relief, and then feeling just as tight an hour later.

Why? Because your brain doesn't just want lengthโ€”it wants control.

When a muscle feels "tight," itโ€™s often your nervous systemโ€™s way of creating stability because it doesnโ€™t trust your strength in that range of motion.

Pulling on a tight muscle is like trying to untie a knot by pulling both ends of the string.

To actually "loosen" your hips, you have to stop being passive and start being active. You have to incorporate movement and load to show your brain that you are strong and stable in those positions.
