The Future of Connected Supervision: How SCRAM Systems Product Advancements are Shaping Community Corrections

Category: Alcohol Monitoring, Location Monitoring, Community Supervision, Company News
Product: SCRAM GPS, SCRAM Continuous Alcohol Monitoring, SCRAM TouchPoint

With visionary innovations planned, 2026 marks the largest product expansion in the history of SCRAM Systems. The recent webinar, “SCRAM Systems 2026 Product Launch,” offered an exclusive first look at the new product advancements that will redefine community supervision, client engagement, and compliance.

The session served as a roadmap for a smarter, more unified approach to monitoring, highlighting the breakthrough technologies reshaping the public safety and rehabilitation industry.

Recap of the SCRAM Systems 2026 Product Launch

NEXT-GENERATION SCRAM CAM®: SMALLER, SMARTER, CONNECTED

The next evolution in alcohol monitoring technology is coming. SCRAM CAM® Connect introduces the smallest alcohol monitoring technology in the industry, including:

Flexible and hypoallergenic strap material with no buckle.
Smaller and thinner device for a less stigmatizing appearance.
Designed to fit closer to the leg for minimal slippage and reduced refittings.
Additionally, SCRAM CAM Connect boasts new features to enhance connectivity and client compliance, such as:

Enhanced Connectivity: Equipped with Wi-Fi, faster and more reliable data flow ensures that supervising authorities have near real-time insights into client behavior.
Advanced Tamper Detection Suite: With an expanded set of advanced sensor technologies, SCRAM CAM Connect provides more validation points for greater insight and higher confidence in every alert and violation.
Advanced Analytics: Clearer visibility into patterns allows for simplified reporting and more proactive intervention.
A NEW UNIFIED SUPERVISION PLATFORM

Efficiency is at the heart of SCRAM Systems’ technology ecosystem. SCRAM IQ® centralizes all of our monitoring technologies into a single, intuitive, real-time platform.

This move eliminates “data silos” and reduces the administrative burden on staff.

Customizable Dashboards: Teams can tailor their view to prioritize the most critical alerts with interactive visualizations, so they can quickly see actionable insights that make a difference.
AI-Ready Infrastructure: The platform is built to scale with future AI capabilities, ensuring agencies stay ahead of technological trends.
Enterprise-Grade Security: While improving ease of use, the platform maintains the highest standards of security and compliance for sensitive data.
MOBILE GPS: A NEW APPROACH TO LOCATION MONITORING

Recognizing the need for flexible supervision, the 2026 product roadmap introduces Mobile GPS Powered by SCRAM TouchPoint®. This feature serves as a powerful alternative to traditional ankle GPS monitors for appropriate risk levels.

Smartphone-Based Tracking: Agencies can now utilize a client’s smartphone for real-time and consistent location tracking.
Customizable Parameters: The app supports customizable zones, scheduling, and streamlined mobile check-ins directly through the TouchPoint mobile app interface.
Hybrid Solutions: This enables a more “mobile-first” approach, allowing agencies to reserve GPS ankle bracelets for high-risk cases while maintaining necessary, but varied oversight for all risk-levels.

Author: Greg Thomas

Congratulations to North Carolina's newest group of Probation/Parole Officers. The twenty-three officers from Class 9 for 2025 completed their eight-week basic training at the NC Justice Academy in Salemburg. 🚔🎄 TODAY STARTS: HOLIDAY BOOZE IT & LOSE IT CAMPAIGN 🎄🚔

Today marks the start of the NC Governor's Highway Safety Program (NC GHSP) Holiday Booze It & Lose It Campaign, kicks off today, December 15, 2025 — a time when celebrations are high, traffic is heavy, and impaired driving becomes especially dangerous.

Here’s the not-so-fun part:
📊 Nationwide, nearly one-third of all traffic fatalities involve an impaired driver.
📊 During the holiday season, alcohol-related crashes spike — often late at night and on weekends.
📊 One bad decision behind the wheel can change lives forever.

Here’s the slightly fun (but serious) reminder:
🍷 Eggnog + keys = ❌
🍺 “I’m fine to drive” = ❌
🎅 Santa doesn’t bail you out of jail

During this campaign, extra patrols and increased enforcement will be out across Columbus County specifically looking for impaired drivers. If you choose to drive impaired, you should fully expect to lose your license, your money, and possibly your freedom.

🎁 HOLIDAY SAFETY TIPS 🎁
✔️ Plan a sober ride before the party starts
✔️ Use a designated driver or rideshare
✔️ Stay overnight if needed
✔️ See an impaired driver? Call it in — you could save a life

We want everyone to enjoy the holidays, make it home safely, and start the New Year on the right foot — not with flashing blue lights in the rearview mirror.

👉 Drive sober. Arrive alive. Booze It & Lose It.
