Last evening, I attended an advance screening of PBS's documentary, Caregiving, at the Cary Theatre. This production offers a poignant glimpse into the lives of caregivers, who are spouses and children, providing care for their loved ones. A profoundly moving film, Caregiving will premiere on PBS in its entirety on June 24.

On Thursday, I had the opportunity to visit a newly established Care Home in Clayton, owned and operated by Barbara Keith of Purposes Living and Care. There is availability and if you haven’t visited, schedule a tour; it is a beautiful Care Home not to be missed.

Some food for thought.
There are events just about every day so in attending are you “Networking” or “Socializing”? Is it the free food, drinks and talking about what you’re doing this weekend or are you connecting with one or two people you’ve never met to establish a connection that may very well lead to a potential opportunity to grow your businesses.
Networking is interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional contacts.
Socializing is interacting with people for personal enjoyment, friendship, or fun.
Both are enriching in one way or the other but think about this next time you walk into your next event. If it’s a professional event, be professionally minded and think about meeting one or two new faces that you “network” with.
