What is colostrum? It is the earliest breastmilk produced, beginning around 12-18 weeks during pregnancy. It is produced until about the first few days after baby is born. Colostrum is usually yellow, clear, or white. It is normal to only make about 1-4 teaspoons a day (remember your baby’s stomach is only the size of a blueberry)
