Time in the OR is never fun and games.
💎From the moment we greet our patient, to the time they leave our clinic, we take surgery day extremely seriously. They deserve, and get, 100% of our focus. A surgical time-out is that moment before first incision taken by the OR staff to pause and confirm the patient, procedure type, each member of the team and their role. This is also a reminder to all that should they have any safety concerns, they can call a “time out.” This universal protocol minimizes errors, increases accountability, and improves patient outcomes.
