My first functional doctor was a wake up call.
He'd been in the ER for 20 yrs and his bedside manner was atrocious. When I took biologics without telling him - the next appt he told me it was going to kill me and asked if I had a death wish. He was visibly shook and angered by my decision. I was so upset with his reaction and words, I hired another doctor. But guess what?

He wasn't wrong! It did shut down my liver and kidney function to out of range levels and gave me my first glimpse of what death would feel like. One of the first things he taught me was how to make homemade bone broth. I need to thank him and share the root causation of my autoimmune diseases now that I'm in complete remission. I paused just now to call his office and left a heart felt thank you message for the life lesson and to let him know I'm doing just fine. Maybe my case will help solve a handful of others. Has your doctor taught you how to cook or make anything? Food for thought...

THE Altra Torin 8 Ego Max Sneakers
Run N Tri Outfitters will treat you right!

Remember all sneakers have a shelf life!

I pushed these 8-9 months before my feet started to hurt. Most won't connect that it is the shoes. If you wear these every day for 6 months a new shoe is usually necessary 👟

If your feet, ankles, knees or hips are hurting, make sure your shoes are supporting you first!

A clever (and mischievous) octopus shut down an entire aquarium – on purpose.

At just six months old, Otto the octopus at Germany’s Sea Star Aquarium managed to shut down the entire facility’s power – repeatedly. For days, staff arrived each morning to find lights out and systems offline. The mystery deepened until they decided to spend the night watching.

The culprit? Otto.

He had climbed the side of his tank and sq**rted water at a 2,000-watt spotlight overhead — shorting the circuit and triggering a full electrical shutdown. He’d been trained to sq**rt water at visitors, but took it a step further and redirected his aim. Why? Aquarium staff suspect the bright light annoyed him – and he figured out how to turn it off.

Otto’s stunt wasn’t just clever; it was calculated. Octopuses are among the most intelligent invertebrates on Earth. They can solve puzzles, open jars, escape tanks, and recognize individual humans. With complex nervous systems and remarkable problem-solving skills, they show behaviors that border on mischievous – even playful.

To keep Otto entertained after his electrical escapades, the aquarium gave him a chessboard. He played with it, then threw it out of the tank.

Otto reminded us how truly remarkable, and unpredictable, octopuses can be.

📷 Captured from the ISS today —
a towering red sprite lit up the skies above the United States.

Early this morning, a NASA astronaut aboard the International Space Station witnessed an extraordinary phenomenon:
a massive red sprite—a burst of upper-atmospheric electricity—flashing above a thunderstorm.

Sprites are a type of Transient Luminous Event (TLE).
They occur 50–85 km above the Earth, in the mesosphere, triggered by powerful lightning strikes below.

Though fleeting, these crimson tendrils offer scientists insight into how electrical storms affect the upper atmosphere.
The ISS’s unique vantage point allows astronauts to capture these events in both visible and infrared light.

Today’s sighting adds to NASA’s Spritacular project, helping researchers study these rare, beautiful flashes from space.

“They told me I was too ugly to be a leading man… and too dumb to write comedy.” 🎭💔

I was only 22 when I first heard that. My whole teenage life, I dreamed of making people laugh, but the first to laugh at me were the casting directors. One of them even said straight to my face, “You’ve got a face for radio, not for movies.” I went to the bathroom, cried quietly, and then came out smiling like it didn’t hurt. No one saw my pain because I hid it behind a joke. But inside, I was falling apart. 😞🎬

My first big break in television was Saturday Night Live, but even there they told me I wasn’t funny enough. I got fired. Just like that. One day I showed up on set and they told me they didn’t need me anymore. I walked through New York alone, wondering if maybe I wasn’t meant for this. But instead of giving up, I grabbed my notebook and started writing my own story. 🗒️🌃

I financed *Billy Madison* with my own savings. Everyone said it would flop, that nobody wanted to watch a guy like me make a fool of himself. But when it premiered, people didn’t just laugh… they cried with laughter. For the first time, I felt like the world got my humor, that my insecurities could be part of something beautiful. After that, every movie I made wasn’t just a comedy—it was a comeback. 📽️🔥

My dad died before he ever saw me succeed. That broke me. He was the one who always told me, “Make people laugh, even when you’re sad.” That’s why every time I make a movie, I feel like I’m honoring him. A lot of people don’t understand my style, but you know what? I don’t make movies for the critics—I make movies for the person who needs a smile when life gets tough. 🎙️👨‍👦

“You don’t need everyone to believe in you. As long as you never stop believing in yourself, you’ve already got an advantage.”
