Hello! My name is Hannah Eason and I am a licensed massage and bodywork therapist here in Raleigh, NC. In 2021, I became a mom and decided to become certified in infant massage education.
Infant massage is taught by a certified educator of infant massage (CEIM) who has gone through extensive training in infant massage techniques to teach families. They facilitate and enhance the loving relationship between infants and parents/caregivers. CEIM’s demonstrate on a doll during class (they will not massage your baby).
My Infant Massage course is called “The After Glow: Infant Massage” which will be a 5 week course meeting in person once a week for 45 min to 1 hour. It is a small group class to ensure personalized attention. Each week you will learn new massage strokes while reviewing strokes from previous classes. Each session will include time for supportive discussions to share experiences and learn.
During class you will learn:
*massage strokes & touch relaxation
*bonding techniques & ways to recognize your baby’s cues
*how to ask permission & doing so builds respect
*how to choose the best oil for your massage
*how to identify the best time for massage & ways to work it into your daily life
*and more!
The After Glow: Infant Massage course will begin Sunday 9/22/24 at 2pm in person. We will then meet every Sunday at 2pm until 10/20/24. The total cost for this course is $400 which includes all 5 in person sessions, folder with printed visuals of each stroke and massage oil to take home. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance will be due in full by 9/22/24. If an in person class is missed it can be rescheduled privately for another date if notified prior to the missed class. Deposit’s can be made by Venmo, cash app, Apple Pay or Zelle.
This is an infant friendly, breastfeeding friendly, formula feeding friendly, NON-JUDGE-MENTAL class. It is recommended, but not required, that two adults attend (especially if baby will be joining) so that one person can meet babies needs and the other can receive the information being given.
