From Rock Bottom to Recovery: William’s Journey to Hope

When William began his recovery, his life was falling apart — homeless, unemployed, battling alcohol, and feeling like there was no way out. But one day, he made a decision to change.

With support from recovery programs, workforce development, and a recovery residence, William slowly rebuilt his life. He gained confidence, job skills, and most importantly — hope. Today, William is employed, stable, and thriving. Recovery brought him back to his faith, his family, and to himself.

William’s story is a reminder that no matter how far down someone may feel, recovery is always possible.

If you’ve found hope through recovery, like William, we encourage you to share your story. Your journey can inspire someone else to take that first step.

Lynn’s path to recovery began through unimaginable heartbreak — the loss of her son. 💔

"There were moments I didn’t think I could survive it," she shares. But in her darkest hours, it was the support of others who had walked a similar road that helped her hold on. Her higher power and the love of her friends carried her when she couldn’t carry herself.

Today, after 32 years in recovery, Lynn finds strength through connection — staying close to her sponsor, attending Zoom meetings, and keeping a strong relationship with her higher power. 🤝

The love and support she received have allowed her to turn her pain into purpose, helping others find hope and healing.

Lynn’s message to anyone still struggling:
👉 “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s okay to not have all the answers, and it’s okay to lean on others. There’s hope, even on the hardest days.”

Her story is a beautiful reminder that recovery is more than just staying clean — it’s about finding strength in faith, connection, and courage.

There is always hope.

Sandra’s Recovery Story 🌟

Just a few months ago, Sandra was homeless, hopeless, and ready to give up. She had lost everything—including herself. One night, in total desperation, she fell to her knees and surrendered, praying for the strength to stop. That moment changed everything.

Sandra started calling treatment centers and eventually found a spot at Gateway. “That call saved my life,” she says. Since then, she’s been rebuilding her life one day at a time, staying connected to her higher power and her recovery community.

“Surrender wasn’t weakness—it was the beginning of freedom,” Sandra shares. Today, she reminds herself: progress, not perfection.

Her message to others still struggling:
“As long as you’re breathing, it’s never too late to find recovery.”

💙 Let Sandra’s story be your reminder: there is always hope.
