Thomas J. Weber, D.O., is passionate about helping patients live a pain-free life and serving his community. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army having worked extensively with US Special Operations Forces. He enlisted in the US Army at age 18 and began his medical career by earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College in Missouri.

Upon graduation, he completed an internship at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and received his board certification in Anesthesiology from Walter Reed/Bethesda Naval Hospital. Post residency, Dr. Weber was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq and at age 29 was elected chief of anesthesia, working as a combat support doctor. Once stateside, he established the first pain management clinic at Fort Bragg treating soldiers and their family members.

After 12 years of active duty Dr. Weber resigned from the Army and decided to further his medical training. He attended Wake Forest University completing his fellowship in Pain Medicine. Dr. Weber is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

In 2012 Dr. Weber joined Duke Raleigh Hospital as Medical Director of Pain Medicine Services launching the pain clinic for Duke Neurosurgery. In his 5 years at Duke, he became the highest producing anesthesiologist treating approximately 10,000 patients before leaving to start his own pain management clinic, Midtown Pain and Spine, in 2017. Dr. Weber is a proud supporter of Cardinal Gibbons High School, North Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association, Boulder Crest Foundation, and ECU School of Music for PTSD.
