The fake fall weather we have had recently is nice but all North Carolinians know Second Summer is coming!
🌞 Did you know: Your body can lose up to 2.5 liters of sweat per hour during intense exercise in heat — that’s more than the volume of a 2-liter soda bottle every hour🌡️
When temps rise, your body works harder to stay cool—especially if you're active outdoors. But sometimes, it can’t keep up. That’s when heat exhaustion can strike!
Watch for these warning signs:
⚠️ Heavy sweating
⚠️ Dizziness or fainting
⚠️ Nausea or vomiting
⚠️ Headache
⚠️ Fatigue
⚠️ Cool, clammy skin
💡 What to do:
✔️ Get to a cool, shaded place
✔️ Rehydrate with water or electrolyte drinks
✔️ Rest and cool your body with cold towels or a fan
