North Carolinians, it is time to ACT NOW! If you’ve been following NC Legislature recently, then you’re aware that h**p regulation is a VERY hot topic. Just this past week, the House proposed a bill…one that is DISGUISED as a regulation bill, when it actuality, it’s a BAN BILL!

HB328 threatens our state’s thriving h**p industry and is a direct attack on our safe access to h**p, state-wide small businesses, NC jobs and SO much more!

Your voice matters and we need ALL OF YOU to make yours heard!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

NC Governor Josh Stein has made national news recently by announcing the formation of the NC Advisory Council for Cannabis. The purpose of this Advisory Council is to address the unregulated sale of THC products and the potential legalization of all cannabis products in North Carolina.

The Governor expressed several main concerns:
- Protect children from accessing THC products
- Require child-resistant packaging
- Require product safety testing
- Require proper labeling

The Advisory Council’s timeline to make recommendations to address these concerns is not until the end of 2026, which means at best, nothing happens until 2027.

We have been collaborating with NC lawmakers for several years to pass sensible regulations that would protect consumers and the cannabis industry in North Carolina. Senate Bill 265 (SB265) addresses every concern above and more:
- Protects children by mandating sales to 21+
- Requires child-resistant packaging
- Requires testing for potency, heavy metals, and mold
- Requires proper labeling
- Requires licensing
- Bans cannabis and va**ng on school grounds

SB265 is the most comprehensive, progressive cannabis regulation bill in the United States. It has bipartisan support in both the NC House and the NC Senate. SB265 can address these concerns NOW - not 2027.

We are asking you to call and email Senator Rabon’s office as often as possible for the next few weeks to deliver this message.

Simply and politely state that you are a concerned NC resident who wants continued legal access to regulated, safe h**p products. You want to protect children from having access to adult products. Urge him to set aside his personal agendas and to move SB265 forward asap.

Thank you to all of our amazing customers who came out to celebrate 420 with us at H**pfest this year! This year, 420 landed on Easter, so we decided to embrace the theme and throw an all out themed celebration featuring our very own Budz Bunny and a tie-dye t-shirt station!

Each one of the local artists and vendors that joined us this year made it incredible! The food trucks were fantastic and the live music was a hit! What a way to celebrate the start of 6 years in business!

Through the awesome raffles that we were fortunate enough to raffle off with the help of some of our amazing brands, and a match from The H**p Company, we raised $2,000 to be split and donated to two organizations: North Carolina Community Foundation and K9s for Warriors. Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets for your support!

Thank you to everyone who supported our community and those in need through the purchase of H**pfest raffle tickets.

We'd like to also thank Astria Farm, Lazarus Naturals, Hometown Hero and Wildwood Cannabis Co. for going above and beyond in supporting H**pfest this year through all of their generous donations!

We raised a total of $1,756 between raffle ticket sales and The H**p Company's match, but we will round this total up to $2,000!

NC Community Foundation will receive a donation of $1,000 and K9s for Warriors will also receive a donation of $1,000.

We said we were going to do it up big for the 5th Anniversary of The H**p Company, and we sure did!

H**pfest 2024 was incredible and we can't thank you all enough for coming out to celebrate with us - It is certainly one we won't ever forget!

To the vendors, food trucks, musicians, security & beyond, we couldn't have done any of this without you. You rock!
