Our community came together to celebrate Easter with a beautiful and delicious luncheon that was truly a feast for the senses!

Our Residents enjoyed a thoughtfully curated menu featuring a crisp Caesar salad, perfectly prepared orange blossom salmon, and tender, savory prime rib. Every dish was crafted with care to make the holiday feel extra special. And of course, no Easter celebration would be complete without a little sweetness! Our talented pastry chefs delighted everyone with stunning, house-made recreations of classic Easter treats, including Cadbury eggs, Peeps, and traditional hot cross buns.

We are thrilled to introduce our very first Associate of the Month at Waltonwood Lead Mine; Aniyah!

Aniyah has been a valued member of our team for the past five months as a server, bringing with her two years of experience and a genuine passion for working with seniors. Her love for older adults shines through in everything she does. Whether she’s sharing a laugh, offering a kind word, or simply taking the time to connect, Aniyah has a special way of brightening each resident’s day.

She truly enjoys getting to know our residents, listening to their stories, and creating meaningful moments that make them feel seen, heard, and celebrated. One of her favorite memories at Waltonwood was the opportunity to express her creativity and craft a signature mocktail for a resident’s birthday. This was an experience that brought so much joy not only to the resident, but to their family as well.

Outside of work, Aniyah is incredibly creative and enjoys drawing and painting, especially in realism and cartoons. She’s also proud to share that she knows a bit of ASL!

Aniyah, thank you for the heart, positivity, and dedication you bring to our community each day. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Waltonwood family!

What an incredible day at Waltonwood Lead Mine as we hosted our very first Taste of Waltonwood, an annual event at Waltonwood Senior Living, that brings together professionals, prospective residents, and our current residents for a stunning showcase of culinary excellence.

Our talented culinary and pastry team, led by our Executive Chef, Rob, truly outdid themselves with a beautifully curated menu featuring highlights like lobster rolls on house-made brioche, zucchini blossoms with blue crab, espresso BBQ brisket, and ricotta toast with truffle honey, all perfectly complemented by an array of decadent house-made desserts.

We loved the opportunity to enjoy great food, meet new faces, and spend time together in our beautiful community. We were truly excited to host this special event and share a taste of what makes Waltonwood so unique.

Our Grand Opening celebration was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment guests walked through our doors, the energy was warm, joyful, and filled with excitement.
Our culinary team truly outdid themselves with a stunning display of beautifully crafted food, decadent desserts, and thoughtfully curated refreshments.

We were honored to welcome so many wonderful guests from future residents, families, professional partners, and community leaders that took the time to tour, connect, and celebrate alongside us. Seeing our spaces filled with laughter, conversation, and new friendships forming was incredibly special.

Today was a day of gratitude and celebration at Waltonwood Lead Mine.

We held our first Annual Associate Holiday Party, and it was a beautiful opportunity to honor the exceptional team who brings our community to life each day. Our team enjoyed an elegant menu curated by Chef Rob, featuring artful charcuterie, pasta, and caprese chicken, followed by exquisite holiday desserts created by our pastry chef, Maria.

The afternoon was rounded out with festive raffle prizes and, adding an extra touch of magic, a special visit from Santa himself! We loved celebrating our associates and the dedication, passion, and excellence they bring to Waltonwood Lead Mine.

As we’ve prepared to open the doors of Waltonwood Lead Mine, we’ve had the pleasure of partnering with The Cupcake Shoppe in Raleigh for our sweet treats during tours, business development visits, and prospective resident events.

Now that our community has a culinary team in place, our very own pastry chef will be taking the reins and baking up fresh treats at Waltonwood each day!

Today, our Resident Care Manager, Larie had the pleasure of presenting to members of Carolina Arbors about blood pressure. We believe that Heart Health is an important topic for wellness at every age!
