The North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians (NCAFP) is the state's largest specialty medical association, with a membership of more than 3,700 family physicians, Family Medicine residents and medical students. The core purpose and mission of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians is to advance the specialty of Family Medicine, in order to improve the health of patients, families, and communities in North Carolina.

NCAFP member Dr. Victoria Boggiano shared her well-earned insight into how American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)'s FUTURE Conference helps medical students enter Family Medicine! In a new Q&A with the AAFP, Dr. Boggiano recounted her long history of attending the conference as a medical student, resident, and now family physician. For students who aren’t yet sure which specialty they want to enter, “FUTURE is vital because it helps maintain family medicine,” Dr. Boggiano says. “It attracts and encourages diversity, depth, breadth. It’s unlike any other conference students, residents and educators will ever have the opportunity to attend.”

The NCAFP is glad to be well-represented at the Annual Community Care Physicians Network (CCPN) Clinical Conference! Immediate Past President Dr. Mark McNeill spoke on a panel discussing AI, which past NCAFP president, CCPN Chief Medical Officer, and CCPN Board of Managers member Dr. Conrad Flick moderated. Congrats to them both!
