Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’re failing. It usually just means it’s time to shift your mindset. Small habits, positive self-talk, and making sure you’re prioritizing your health… that’s where your momentum comes from.

What your brain whispers… your body listens to. Are you hyping yourself up or tearing yourself down?

Behavior change doesn’t happen overnight… but it does happen with small consistent habits that compound over time. Make sure you’re engaging in activities you actually ENJOY.

Behind the scenes footage of your physios at Smart Athlete! Here’s how they are kicking off the Summer and heading into Fall:

1️⃣ / 2️⃣ CarolAnn went to a Mets game in NYC and enjoyed a Turkey leg at the Fair ⚾️🍗
3️⃣ Jeff also had a FAIRly good time with rides and a Turkey leg 🎡
4️⃣ / 5️⃣ Grace went on a Caribbean cruise and cheered on the Canes 🛳️🏒
6️⃣ / 7️⃣ Emily planned/attended her 20 yr HS reunion and enjoyed ice cream with her girls at their favorite local farm 💃🏼🎃
8️⃣ Mike enjoyed the Raleigh skyline and dinner with his family at La Terrazza 🌃

Big news! Meet our newest addition to the Smart Athlete Team: Grace Parker, PT, DPT, CMTPT! ✨

She was born and raised in Apex, North Carolina and is passionate about helping people reach their goals while also helping them find joy in the process! Grace earned both her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University.

Grace specializes in treating runners, endurance athletes, and active adults of all ages! She is trained in 2D running gait analysis and certified in Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling.

Outside of the clinic, Grace is an avid runner herself, completing 2 full marathons and 6 half marathons. In addition to running, she also loves cycling, weight training, and doing weekly hot yoga. Grace enjoys testing the limits of the human body and is excited to share her passion for wellness with those around her. Book with her today through our website!

Show some love for our newest addition to the Smart Athlete Family, Cheryl Hamel, PT, DPT!

Cheryl graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Georgia State University in 2009, where she focused on manual therapy. Before embarking on her career in physical therapy, Cheryl was a Division 1 tennis player and coached high-level juniors, showcasing her deep understanding of sports and athletic performance. She is also a USPTA-certified teaching professional.

Since completing her DPT, Cheryl has dedicated her career to outpatient orthopedics, where she has consistently delivered personalized care to her patients. She is also certified in Kinesiotaping and has undergone extensive training in dry needling.

Cheryl is now available to help you reach your health and fitness goals! Alongside PT sessions, Cheryl offers recovery sessions, ideal for those who aren’t injured but are feeling sore. These sessions are a fantastic post-workout addition, focusing on the manual release of tight tissues, mobilization of stiff joints, and gliding of neural tension.
