We had the opportunity to speak with future OBGYNs at ECU about egg freezing and reproductive endocrinology, and it was such a meaningful experience! When women have access to this information earlier, it naturally creates space for reflection, confidence, and a stronger sense of agency in their reproductive health.

Did you hear? PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS, which stands for polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. This is a huge win for the women’s health and hormone community 🙌

Many people with PCOS don’t actually have ovarian cysts, and the original name doesn’t fully reflect the broader, full body nature of this condition. PMOS helps better capture how complex and varied it can be, affecting different systems in the body in different ways.

The name may be evolving, but the goal stays the same: better understanding, earlier diagnosis, and improved care for women living with PMOS.

Egg freezing is often framed as “freedom,” but what does that freedom actually cost?

Between consultations, medications, procedures, and storage fees, the total can climb into the tens of thousands… putting it out of reach for so many who deserve the option.
