What a treat to participate in acupuncture and guided meditation last week... I was fresh from getting x-rays earlier in the day, where the doc was pleased with how my bones were healing and calcifying over the repaired fractures. As the meditation encouraged focus on a body part naturally my attention went there, and the weirdness of having metal pieces holding me together. The guided visualization brought me to the sounds of the ocean, an image of a hermit crab getting a new shell to meet it's needs, and the thoughts of my surgery hardware as being part of my very own hermit-crabish shell- something new, adaptive, strong, and natural. It told me, "I am part of you now."

This winter threw me some curve balls when an accident landed me with a broken ankle and knee! From wheelchair to walker to cane to boot, I am astounded by the body's ability to heal and super excited to be heading back into the studio! 💜
