What an amazing day at the End of Summer Bash! 🎉

On August 21, more than 300 people gathered at Barber Park in Greensboro, NC for a free and inclusive community celebration. Families enjoyed delicious food, fun games, great music and a Back-to-School giveaway to kick off the new school year. ✨🎒

A huge thank you to Celeste Knoll, representing the Castle Hayne Fire Department, for their generous $3,500 gift to our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)/Autism Center in Wilmington, NC! 🌟

This funding will help bring the vision of a Mock Medical Room to life! The room will provide individuals with a safe and supportive space to practice and prepare for the sensory experience of dental and medical appointments. With this resource, children and families will be able to access healthcare more comfortably and confidently.

August 3–9 is Assistance Dog Week, and we’re celebrating Rocky, a very special Newfoundland! 🐕‍🦺

Rocky the Newfoundland is a certified pet therapy dog through North Carolina Pet Partners and was named "Newfie Therapy Dog of the Year 2023" by TimberKnolls Spirit Cove Newfie Therapy. Rocky and his owner, Jessica, regularly visit our Ashcraft group home in Charlotte, NC, spreading joy and comfort to all.

We’re so grateful for their continued visits and can’t wait to make more memories together!

The energy was high at Polar Ice Wake Forest, NC for the 4th Annual NCAHL Hockey Tournament! 🏒

Residents from our Zebulon Group Home had the honor of dropping the puck to kick things off. They also came back each day to cheer on the teams and continue the fun! The event generously raised $1,500 in support of our Autism/ABA program. We’re so grateful for the community’s support, and a huge thank you to Andrew Mazzeo for organizing this tournament! His passion for creating inclusive, hockey-centered experiences truly shines through, bringing fun and connection to everyone involved.

Michael, a participant in our Individual + Community Services (ICS) program in Charlotte, NC, has shown a decade of incredible dedication and hard work. His Whole Foods team honored the milestone with two of his favorite treats, mac and cheese and chocolate cake!
