Choking can happen to anyone, but it's most common in children and... you guessed it, older adults. By learning how to prevent choking, you create a safer environment where you are less at risk. Although knowing the ways to help someone who is, in fact, choking reduces the chances of a life threatening emergency. Dee Barron of Saving Hearts Training led an informative and interactive lesson for our residents. Important skills for everyone, of any age, to know!

A big thank you to the Raleigh Police Department Officers Martin and Hinton for visiting Capital Oaks and joining us for a fun game of co****le! 🎯 We had a wonderful time together, and we’re excited to welcome them back in September for an informative talk on safety. This week, we were overjoyed to welcome Saving Grace NC to Capital Oaks for a heartwarming visit! Residents and staff alike had the most enriching and joy-filled experience cuddling, playing, and connecting with these sweet, adoptable furry friends. The smiles were endless, and the love in the room was undeniable. 💛
