I am honored to introduce everyone to this all-star, Loraine the lawnmower. She was hired to do more detailed work at the farm. She mows between the blueberry rows, around the trees and closest to buildings. She sometimes acts as a wood chipper when I’m too lazy to pick up sticks and branches. She’s the smallest of our riding mowers, but she doesn’t give off small deck energy. We would be lost without her!

It’s the second week of Meet the Employees of

Taking a quick break from the machinery to give some love to the girl who helped me just today. This is Velma the backpack vacuum.

Reasons I love her: She’s heavy duty but quiet enough she doesn’t scare off our favorite employee Summer (pictured taking one of her many union breaks).

I can vacuum up some pretty severe pollen.

She’s the only one I can tell “you suck” and she doesn’t take me to HR.

Welcome back to Friday’s installment of meet the farm employees! This is Fiona the family friendly forklift. As you can see by our video, even our daughter has used it.

My favorite part of the forklift is using the steering wheel spinner k**b to swing her big b***y around in circles.

My second favorite thing is when someone comes with a truck to unload and asks if there is someone to fun the forklift and I say “you are looking at her” and then proceed to unload the truck with an unreasonable level of confidence.

My third favorite thing about her is that she helps me move pallets and these giant ceremony benches around.

My fourth favorite thing is what we use her for that’s not what she’s made for: going off road, lifting a person on a pallet to the second floor if there are no stairs.

It’s the third installment of meet the employees at the farm. This is Edith the Edger. I have a love-hate relationship with her.

Things we do together: Edge all my flower beds. Edge along our walkways. Encourage geese to move away from our walkways.

Ways she has hurt me: Wrecked my ankles when we hit a rock. Given me callouses. Showcased my inability to make a straight line.

Next in the Meet the Employees Series is Bonnie the boom lift. She beats a ladder any day!

Things she has helped me do: Stain this amazing granary. Take awesome pictures of our property. Trimmed some tall trees in my decorative plant beds.

Things she’s given me: A renewed fear of heights. Vertigo. The worst we**ie when I have to wear the harness I wear when I’m using it by myself. Motivation to update our wills.
