๐ŸŒฑ ๐ŸŽ Forest Pines Elementary School had an amazing Farm to School Celebration Event on Friday filled with hands-on learning, fresh local foods, and lots of fun. ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿšœ

Students explored six exciting stations where they learned about turkey life cycles with Heather Ness from Butterball, hydroponic farming with Nassar Mohammad from Nomiโ€™s Garden, and how plants grow from seeds to fresh produce with Keith Purvis from Fosters Produce. ๐Ÿฆƒ ๐ŸŒฟ ๐Ÿ…

Students also sampled locally grown broccoli, sweet potatoes, strawberries, apples, and fresh kale salad while enjoying games, coloring pages, stickers, juice boxes, and magnets. ๐Ÿฅฆ ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿฅ— โœจ They even planted tomato seeds to take home and grow themselves. ๐Ÿ… ๐ŸŒฑ

One special surprise of the day was a tiny tree frog hiding in the tomato plant. ๐Ÿธ ๐Ÿ’š Students also got to meet and high five the biggest watermelon and peach in North Carolina. ๐Ÿ‰ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿฅค โœจ Wake County Public School System students helped us taste test exciting new breakfast smoothie flavors at Northwoods Elementary School, Reedy Creek Magnet Middle School, and Cary High School. ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ

Students sampled Strawberry Banana, Mixed Berry, Guava Orange, and Pineapple Mango while voting for their favorites across all grade levels. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ ๐Ÿ’œ Every flavor was a hit, and some clear favorites rose to the top. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‹

Thanks to all the amazing student feedback, these fruit and yogurt smoothies are planned to be added to the breakfast menu for the 2026-2027 school year. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ ๐ŸŽ‰
