What’s your favorite memory working in school nutrition?
My favorite memory is serving meals curbside during the pandemic. It was such a rewarding experience to connect with our community, provide meals to those in need, and even get visits from furry friends! I started giving out dog treats. It felt great to make a difference and bring smiles to people’s faces during a challenging time. 🐾

What do you wish people knew about school lunch?
I wish people knew how much care and dedication goes into serving school meals. It’s not just about providing a meal; it’s about supporting students’ health, wellbeing, and education. 💛

We recently wrapped up our Back-to-School Managers Meeting, filled with networking, collaboration, and learning! 📚🤝 We covered important topics like financial management, student diet modifications, security protocols, staffing, culinary and technology skills, and we even had the honor of hearing from our superintendent, Dr. Taylor. 🎤✨

We celebrated the upcoming year with a sweet treat from NC State’s Howling Cow and wrapped up with a fun game of The Price is Right, CNS style! 🍦🎯💲 Here’s to a great year ahead! 🎉
