We had a little set-back on Monday, July 21st, when we lost the second AC in the center making it very warm and uncomfortable in the main training room even with fans. Thankfully, that has now been repaired. However, that was an additional expense that needs to be added into our fundraising goal. The replacement of the first AC unit is on track for installation on 30 July. Hello friends and supporters,
My name is Susan Lee, and for over 10 years, I have had the privilege of running the Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi center in Raleigh, NC. Our mission is to empower individuals by activating the brain’s natural ability to create health and happiness. Through Korean yoga, tai chi/qigong classes, and physical and emotional rebalancing workshops, we have helped more than 1,500 people improve their mind-body connection and manage conditions like Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, and chronic pain in shoulders, knees, hips, and backs.
Our center has become a welcoming community for those seeking natural healing through ancient Eastern energy principles combined with modern brain science. Unfortunately, during the recent North Carolina summer, we lost our HVAC systems, making the space uncomfortably hot for everyone who comes here to learn and heal.
We are reaching out for support to repair our HVAC systems and keep the Body & Brain center comfortable and accessible for all members. Any contribution will help us continue serving this incredible community and supporting people on their wellness journeys.

This post from our founder, Ilchi Lee, just really resonated with me today. We all need to focus on what we can do to create the change we want to see.

Change is ever urgent in this world, and big, bold changes are needed. I believe we should begin with our own character. We can build a habit of kindness that will brighten ourselves and the people around us. It will direct our choices toward the type of lives and world that we dream of. We can start with small actions, like a kind word or a happy dance, right now.
