There were so many times that I wish I could turn back time and change the things that went wrong between us...
But that's not how life and love work.
It's been a while since I've seen your face and the emotions have faded- both good and bad.
That's probably for the best.
Sure, I miss you when a song plays that reminds me of you or I pass one of our favorite restaurants,
But I've made peace with everything and healed.
There are things that I would say to you if I had the chance, but perhaps sometimes, things are better left unsaid.
It would just rekindle the pain and those feelings need to stay in in the past.
But the one truth I've learned in my healing is that even though we're apart, hate and anger don't need to fill that distance and space.
I remember how much I cared and truly hope for the best for you.
It's taken me a while to get here, but my heart is full again and I hope you find happiness and your dreams comes true.
In the end, after everything,
I can smile as I truly know,
That is my wish for you.
