Who has Hashimoto’s or Hypothyroidism and is trying to give your best everyday but you constantly fight the low energy battle like me?!

💚💚💚 is a perfect morning supplement for someone who has chronic low energy! It really helps! 👏🏼💃🏻🥳 Score!

As awesome as it is though, one product can’t solve all our problems! Some other practices that help me feel best are consistent clean eating, limiting sugar and gluten, getting the right nutrients and moving my body. 💪🌈 🔥

🦋 My Top 5 Hashimoto’s Flair Up Symptoms and the Things I Do for Relief!

👉 Note: I probably wouldn’t have flair ups if I made these things my daily habits! My goals and progress will be in another post! I use Dr. Hyman’s podcasts, blog and books for motivation - he’s amazing.

My Top 5 Hashi Symptoms:
1️⃣ Aching Muscles
2️⃣ Fatigue
3️⃣ Stiff Joints
4️⃣ Brain Fog
5️⃣ Constipation

Things I do that helps #1-5 (usually within 1-2 days):
❌ Cut Gluten 100%
❌ Cut Dairy 100%
⬆️ Increase Water to 64oz min + add 🍋 daily
⬆️ Increase Movement - Yoga at home daily (for as little as 20 minutes) 🧘
➕ Take my supplements DAILY! Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc and others

My main reason I have flair ups is my inconsistency with the above. I’ve mentioned before - I know prioritizing doing the things that help me feel better is an act of self love 🥰. It takes practice.

🥇 #1 Goal next 30 days = 100% Gluten Free

👉 Studies show it can take 18-250 days to form a new habit. It takes an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic.

This is from one of Dr. Hyman’s blog posts about gluten and Hashimoto’s; (https://drhyman.com/blog/2019/10/08/why-gluten-needs-to-go-if-you-have-hashimotos/)
“Removing gluten is one of many powerful actions that can benefit Hashimoto’s, which is partially due to something called molecular mimicry: the protein within gluten, called gliadin, is molecularly very similar to the thyroid gland. When gluten enters the bloodstream from the digestive tract (which happens due to leaky gut, another thing gluten contributes to), and the immune system is already primed to attack thyroid tissue, the body then reacts and attacks, worsening symptoms in the process.”

I Have 7 of These Hidden Signs of Stress! That’s 50% of this list! Not good 😌

😥 Stress can affect your body and mind in many ways. But chronic stress can wreak havoc.
🤧 Do you find yourself suffering from physical ailments that have no obvious physical cause?
😩 Chronic stress is probably the culprit!
⚠️ Check out the graphic for a list of common hidden signs.

🤦🏻‍♀️ Some of us don’t realize that feeling sh*tty regularly is NOT normal or ok.

😱 I’m sure you’ve heard that stress is the silent killer. Chronic stress can not only cause some of these physical signs but can lead to many diseases.

➕The positive to all of this? There are sooo many stress relieving techniques we can use and implement BEFORE our bodies start yelling at us. 🤬

1st step - Believe we deserve good health and that self care should be our priority. This step is of utmost importance 💜

2nd step - Deciding what our favorite stress reducing self care things are and which ones we’re going to implement 🧘‍♀️🛀 🎼🕯🚶‍♀️

3rd step - Create a daily habit or ritual - just for you 🤗 Decide what time of day you’re going to make time for yourself 😁

4th step - IF you find yourself having physical ailments due to chronic stress. Immediately 🛑 the presses and mindfully decide to make a lifestyle upgrade. You may need to visit step 1 again. And that’s ok. 💜

🥑The “Clean 15” produce list is created annually by .

➕The EWG comes up with the list by analyzing U.S. Department of Agriculture data “to identify which fresh fruits and vegetables are most and least contaminated with pesticide residues.”

👏🏼They recently shared their 2021 “Dirty Dozen” & “Clean Fifteen” lists in a press release. I just shared the dirty list in my insta stories 🍓🍎🫑 which also shared.

🥦Generally, the clean list 🥑🍍🥝 is considered safe to buy and eat as conventional produce and anything on the dirty list you want to buy organic whenever possible to reduce pesticide exposure.

🧐Remember certified organic labels start with #9 and conventional #4.

You’re the bee’s knees! 🐝

Wow that's an old saying! I do love it though 💛 it’s a happy one 😁 And I love bees!

🍭 Fun fact (found on phases.org.uk) ...
"In the Roaring Twenties in America, bright young things invented nonsense language to refer to things that were 'the tops' - like 'the bees knees', 'the cat's pajamas', 'the snake's hips' ..." 🐝😻🐍

👉 Another fact: WE NEED BEES!!
🐝They're vital to a stable, healthy food supply and key to a varied and nutritious diet.
🌱The majority of plants we need or rely on for food require pollination, especially by bees ... from almonds and apples to beans and blueberries, coffee beans! and so many more.
🐝Raw honey is a helpful food for people with autoimmune conditions - as it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Since inflammation is at the core of autoimmunity, anything we do to control it will help.
❗️Bees are in trouble! Populations of bees are diminishing across the world at alarming rates. The decline is caused by a combination of things– loss of habitat, food sources, massive exposure to pesticides and the effects of climate breakdown.

Man this can be a serious topic. So. Anyhoo, on the bright side of it all☀️🌈🌺, I'm gonna try to play my part in helping a bee out by adding bee loving plants to my garden whenever I can and citrus trees too 🍊🍋 and hopefully clicking some more pics 📸

Food sensitivities? I’ve been looking at the EverlyWell testing service for a while and finally decided to order some tests today! I bought the monthly membership because I have several tests I plan to do. They offer a ton. I go to a functional MD but their testing costs are very expensive as you can imagine 🙄, especially the food sensitivity comprehensive test.

I had this food sensitivity test done several years ago and it provided great information. It confirmed that I do have sensitivity to gluten and ... spinach, clams, casein, some color additives and a few others. Clams? 🦪🦪🦪 Wierd!

Knowing my food sensitivities has been useful in my never ending quest to feel better. I have Hashimoto’s and I’ve been researching and working on (fixing) myself up for many years. 🙂 It’s the reason I became a health coach.

Anyway, I’m sharing a referral discount with anyone interested. No pressure, just sharing my experience. I plan to share updates on my results and how I like the service.

😘 Gina

Enjoy 15% off any Everlywell test! It felt great to get my personal health results from home. Use my link to try a test and save on your order.

We cannot arrive at the solutions for our health care crisis only by improving access to care and medical quality and reducing errors or waste while still applying the same 20th century diagnostic and therapeutic methods.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We cannot arrive at a better health care system by doing the same things better. We must transform medical education, research, practice, and policy to match the current scientific shift from reductionist, organ-based medicine to a more ecological understanding of health and disease based on systems medicine. We cannot otherwise get to the solutions for our health care crisis, or solve the problem of chronic disease.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Functional medicine is the best-kept secret in science and medicine today. That must and can change by implementing initiatives in research, education, collaboration, and policy on a large scale to support and nurture the seed of a viable health care system nationally and globally.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I believe that functional medicine is one of the most important ideas of our time — an idea that can help relieve the unnecessary suffering of millions. I encourage you to explore, learn, investigate, question, and become re-enchanted with medicine alongside me, through the doorway of functional medicine.⁣
