Another wonderful visit with our friends at for our monthly animal therapy program. They loved meeting Oatmeal, Maui and Rhonda.

We made our first round a meet n greet for all the residents. Then we let them groom them and then we finished with taking them individually for a walk.

Makaiah was out today for his session with AJ. He was abit distracted due to being tired but with some redirections he had good spurts of participation. We completed the obstacle course, groomed him and he helped clean up as directed. He also did so well with sitting and letting the goats surround him. He even pet and touched them on his own.

This morning Melissa and Tori visited the memory care at Oatmont Escondido. We started with going around and letting each resident get to pet and ask questions then our second time around we had those who wanted to brush Tori's forelock, mane and the side of her neck. Many shared stories and asked some really good questions. We finished with them walking over to a beautiful spot for individual photos with Tori.

Penelope was out for her session with her favorite mini horse named Tori. We had to have a few reminders to use nice hands and then she would kiss Tori and hug her. No throwing the bows or grooming tools and only melting legs 2 times. She was so happy, independent and confident.

Luna was so brave today and self leading AJ in small intervals and was not nervous. We have been working in her trying things before saying " I need help" or "can you help me. " well today she did so good with trying first then asking when needed. It was only 2 times today.

Dahlia was out today for her session with the HHT crew. I am so proud of her for helping more with each task we completed with Alivia. She worked hard to self regulate her emotions when asked to help and wanted to but her over stimulation was holding her back. During feeding the chickens she used both has and touched 2 without fear. We finished with the matching game

Our community service group from SPA was out today. We have 2 boys and 2 girls. They helped get the chicken coop leveled back out, J caught a frog 🐸 that was inside the coop, they learned to drive the bobcat and move some dg around and use the temper plate, helped set up some stalls and had some great learning and connections with the animals. Big thanks to Zach and my husband, Ian for helping us teach them so much today.

Yesterday Grayson was out for his session. He did so good with Tori. We were able to stand longer while grooming, reaching and stretching was much better. He was babbling and so happy to get kisses from her. He loved having the goats around him and did alot of croos over grooming. He was alittle sassy but it was so good.
