A significant milestone was celebrated within the Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital cardiac care team this week: the official completion of their 1,000th Watchman procedure! This marks a first for the Sacramento market and an incredible alternative for patients with atrial fibrillation.

This isn't just about a number; it represents 1,000 lives potentially freed from the risks and burdens of long-term blood thinners. It offers a safer, minimally invasive alternative for those with atrial fibrillation. It was a beautiful day on the green earlier this month with Lawson Mechanical Contractors at their 19th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting Mercy San Juan Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)! A check for last year’s proceeds, totaling $40,000, was presented to Mercy Foundation―this generous gift will help support the purchase of a state-of-the-art isolette and ventilator, critically needed to safely transport infants from throughout Northern California in need of lifesaving care to the NICU. We are deeply grateful to Lawson Mechanical for their incredible generosity and for helping our community provide vital care to our tiniest patients!
