With rain on the way, there's nothing quite like a steaming bowl of chili on a cold day.
Even better, guilt free LOW CARB chili! Enjoy savory foods you love and stay on track!
2 lb. lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 large green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped, or minced garlic
1 can (28 oz) Diced tomatoes, or 3 cups of fresh diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) Hunt's tomato sauce (or similar brand!)
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Optional!
2 chopped Jalapenos
Several dashes of Tabasco sauce
Top off with:
A sprinkling of shredded cheese
Fresh chopped onion
Tablespoon of Daisy Low Carb Sour Cream
In a skillet or soup pot, add 1 small pat of butter, mix in your chopped onions and green pepper. Sauté!
Add your ground beef, stir until brown. Add your garlic add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix in the remaining ingredients, chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce. (and optional jalapenos, beans)
Let simmer (for at least 30 minutes)
