Give yourself the acknowledgement for simply showing up and doing the work. Reflect on the progress you have made over the (past Pandemic!) year by asking yourself these questions:

What actions am I proud of this past year?
In what way was I out of my comfort zone while taking this action?
Did I influence someone in some healthy or positive way?
Did this bring me gratitude?
Have I limited or let go of dysfunctional friendships and relationships?

Sometimes when you review experiences, circumstances and choices over the year, it can provide a healthy, overall perspective of progress. So go ahead and give yourself some credit for the strong work of getting to where you are now!

Not all stress is bad! According to the Yerkes-Dodson law, there's an ideal mid-level of stress/arousal that can actually enhance performance and productivity.

Some stress can motivate us to take action and achieve our goals. Too little stress and we may feel bored, lack motivation and struggle to focus. But too MUCH stress is also destructive - leading to fatigue, burnout and poor performance.

The key is to aim for the sweet spot in the middle of the inverted U-curve. Moderate, "just right" amounts of stress enhance focus and alertness without going over the top. Of course, we all have different thresholds for what feels like the right level of positive or negative stress

Tips to achieve optimal stress:

● Identify your stress triggers and signals of too much stress

● Practice stress management techniques like mindfulness, exercise, connecting with others

● Set priorities, take breaks, delegate lower priorities

● Reframe stressful situations as opportunities for growth

● Get enough sleep, nutrition and physical activity

Say no to unnecessary obligations

Harnessing the right amount of stress can actually boost your drive, focus and performance! But too much can quickly become counterproductive. Listen to your mind and body - aim for the optimal zone.

If you are struggling with depression or any other mental health issue, know that you are not alone. You are a survivor, and there is hope for recovery. If you need support or resources, reach out to your doctor or mental health professional for help. And remember that you are loved and worthy of happiness.

Overthinking is exhausting.

This simple chart is a gentle reminder that not everything is within our control — and that’s okay.
If you can change it, take action.
If you can’t, release it.
Either way, worry doesn’t serve you.
Mental clarity comes from learning when to let go — and when to ask for help.

Self-Love Scoops

Self-love is one of the most important things to practice for mental health. When you love yourself, you are more likely to take care of your body, mind, and spirit. This can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. There are many ways to practice self-love, such as expressing gratitude, taking time to do what you enjoy, and setting healthy boundaries. By focusing on self-care and self-compassion, you can nurture a positive relationship with yourself that will help you thrive both mentally and physically.
