How your thoughts create reality…
Your thoughts really do create your reality!

💭🧠 Here’s how in 5 steps:
👉 1. Trigger - Something happens to you
👉 2. Thoughts - How you interpret the event based on your beliefs
👉 3. Emotions - What you feel as a result of your thoughts
👉 4. Behaviors - How you act or react based on emotions
👉 5. Outcomes - The results you get from your actions

For example:
Your friend cancels lunch plans

You think “they don’t value our friendship”

You feel hurt and annoyed

You stop calling or reaching out to that friend

Your friendship slowly fades

With a more positive thought pattern, the emotions and outcomes could be very different!
The key takeaway? Be aware of how your thoughts and beliefs shape your reality. If you want to change your outcomes, work on reframing your thoughts first.

👉 Challenge negative assumptions
👉 See things from a growth mindset
Or, what can also help (behavioral experiment):
👉 CHOOSE to take different actions (even if they feel scary or uncomfortable)

You have the power to create your reality one thought at a time! Mindfulness and cognitive reframing are skills to master this.

We have depression and anxiety therapy groups that can help you. Our Online & In-Person Therapists are ready to assist you. Call for a free over-the- ☎️ phone assessment.

Things-To-Do

-Speak kindly to yourself
-Feel your feelings
-Take a break
-Pay attention to your needs
-Move your body
-Clean your space

As someone who is working to improve your mental health, it is important that you speak kindly to yourself and acknowledge your feelings. This may mean taking a break from your usual activities to focus on yourself, paying attention to your needs, and moving your body in ways that feel good.

Additionally, it is important to keep your space clean and organized, as this can help you feel more centered and in control of your mental health. Whether big or small, these actions are all important steps on your journey to better mental health. Remember to be patient, kind, and compassionate with yourself every step of the way.

Questions to Self-Discovery

1. What is your highest priority
2. What brings you joy?
3. Who is the most important person in your life?
4. What do you believe is the meaning of your life?
5. How do you think other people perceive you?

Self-discovery is a transformative journey that begins with introspection and asking ourselves thought-provoking questions. One fundamental question is: What is our highest priority? Identifying our true passions and values allows us to align our actions with our deepest desires. Another key inquiry is: What brings us joy? Understanding the activities, relationships, and experiences that bring us genuine happiness empowers us to cultivate a fulfilling life. Additionally, considering who the most important person in our life is reminds us to prioritize the individuals who bring love, support, and meaning to our existence. Reflecting on the meaning of our life is another significant aspect of self-discovery, as it helps us define our purpose and find fulfillment in our daily endeavors. Lastly, pondering how others perceive us encourages us to be aware of our impact on the world and fosters personal growth.

🌟 Embrace the Power of Boundaries 🌟

Setting healthy boundaries is a vital act of self-care. It’s not about being rude or selfish; it’s about honoring your mental and emotional well-being. Remember, saying “no” or expressing discomfort is completely okay. Here are some boundary phrases to keep in your toolkit:

“I’m not comfortable with that.”
“I don’t answer emails during my personal time.”
“That doesn’t work for me right now.”
“I need some time to think before I can commit.”
“I can only stay an hour, and then I have other priorities.”
A simple, assertive, “No.”

Your well-being matters, and boundaries help protect it. 💚

In uncertain times, it’s easy to fixate on our circle of concern - things like the economy, politics, health issues, other people’s actions. Dwelling on concerns just breeds anxiety.
Instead, shift your energy to your circle of influence. What CAN you control?

🔹 Your perspective - how you interpret events
 🔹Your actions
 🔹Your attitudes
 🔹Your decisions
 🔹Your behaviours

Taking small actions in areas you can control creates a sense of empowerment. Focus on what you can do, however small, rather than obsessing over problems you can’t fix.
