Our experienced specialists offer complete diagnostic and surgical care to patients of all ages in one convenient central location on the Eisenhower Medical Campus. founded Desert Ear, Nose & Throat in 1971, the valley's first medical and surgical ENT office providing complete, in-house audiological services. His special interests include medical and surgical management of sinus problems, thyroid

and parathyroid tumors, children’s ENT problems, facial cancers with removal and reconstruction and treatment of hearing problems. In 1982, the doctors at Desert ENT began assisting patients with the dispensing and fitting of hearing aids at Hearing Institute of the Desert. Dr. VanderWerf completed medical school and Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency training at U.C.L.A. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has experience in the latest techniques of cosmetic facial plastic surgery including minimally invasive endoscopic face lifts. Dr. Walz graduated from USC Medical School and completed his residency training at Duke University. Dr. Walz takes a special interest in voice and swallowing disorders, nasal and sinus surgery, and in-office balloon sinuplasty. Most recently, Dr. Mark Wilson joined Desert ENT in 2015. He completed undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Michigan State University. He then obtained his Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry at Harvard University prior to returning to Michigan for his medical training. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan, and then entered General Surgery internship at the Henry Ford Hospital, completing his residency in Head and Neck Surgery there as well. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and Allergy.
