Need help synching a Smart (Tuya) 6-speed Ceiling Fan with a rolling code RF remote control that typically comes with such a fan. I can already control the fan via the app or Alexa. There are no DIP switches on the receiver. The remote has a dedicated sync button, but all attempts to connect the remote to the fan have failed thus far. I'm 99% sure this remote is compatible with my fan. Anyone have any experience with this? Various bad PDF instruction manuals I have come across simply say: "Turn on fan, immediately hit the sync button. The remote is paired." It's not!🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm thinking I need to put the fan into a pairing mode first, but not sure if I need to hold down the sync button or press it repeatedly. Regardless, all attempts have failed, so far.

Here's a photo of the remote and the fan. Thank you for any help.
