Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel

Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel is located on the picturesque Palos Verdes Peninsula, in the city of Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. The mortuary sits within the 120 acre cemetery grounds of Green Hills Memorial Park. Founder, Robert T. McNerney gathered a small group of local businessmen to purchase the property in 1948. Mr. McNerney thought it was a natural progression to add a mortuary on the cemetery grounds to further its commitment to the families of the community it served. In 1962 a new Mediterranean style building, incorporating the mortuary and cemetery administration offices was completed, along with a standalone chapel. Today Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel maintains its original commitment of its founder “To Serve the Community”. Here you will find a compassionate staff, dignified services, within a beautiful park like setting. The grounds provides unmatched vistas of serene rolling hills, the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles harbor, it is one of most tranquil settings a mortuary can have.
