Today, on this bright coastal day our appetite took us to Asaka Japanese Cuisine. Residents ordered their favorite food and enjoyed great conversations as they took in the scenery. It was the kind of outing where the food was excellent, but the ocean view and relaxed coastal vibe make the whole experience unforgettable.

A visit to the La Brea Tar Pits Museum was a fun mix of science, history and curiosity. The museum blends outdoor exploration with hands-on indoor exhibits, making it perfect for a relaxed, curious day! Our residents really felt like they stepped into the Ice Age!

In a Day at The Movies with Theo Siegel we discussed “12 Angry Men”. Theo described this powerful courtroom drama released in 1957 like he was there when it was filmed. The knowledge he brings to us makes us feel like we were a part of the film. He talked about the history of the director, the plot, the actors and everything that made this film one of the greatest courtroom dramas ever made. Next month we are discussing “El Dorado”

This past weekend, we were treated to an outstanding afternoon performance by an exceptionally talented group of students from Palos Verdes Musical Connection. Their musical skill, enthusiasm, and professionalism shone through every piece, creating a warm and memorable experience for everyone in attendance. After the performance the students handed out beautiful roses to the residents. We’re grateful for their dedication and for sharing their artistry with our community.

Last week our trip adventures took us to MOLAA! During our visit we were immediately immersed in a vibrant world of color, history and identity. The galleries showcased work from artist all over the world. Each painting and sculpture told stories of culture, struggle, celebration and resilience. After our tour we stopped by and enjoyed lunch at In-N-Out because who doesn’t love a good double double with cheese!

Last night residents gathered to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a spectacular dinner that brought everyone together. The tables were beautifully set with vibrant colors and decor. Laughter filled the room as we welcomed the new year with gratitude, hope and full hearts.
