My wish for you is to shine brightly and boldly in your unique gifts and talents and that you share them with the world. You have been deeply loved long before the moment you were born. My wish for you is that you forever know how much you are cherished in this life. You are curious, creative, and loving. My wish for you is that you leverage those innate strengths and continue to live a life you love. Cheers to you Skyrah and everything you are! I love you!

The mountains were calling and we followed the call!!!!! Mammoth Lakes, California is one of my favorite places on earth and experiencing it alongside has been everything I could have asked for and more. (Love you babe).

We ran the Mammoth Half Marathon (virtually), ate decadent gluten free crepes, yummy meals, swam in the pool, checked out the lakes, and smiled until our cheeks hurt.

It feels so great to be this happy.

Deep exhale - this post takes courage
I was reminded today of a Maya Angelou quote, “If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.”
Staying home is hard...
Navigating a divorce is harder...
Doing them both at once is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
We are riding through the same storm but we are not all in the same boat. For me even, my boat feels like it shifts day by day.
Today my boat feels wrecked. Tomorrow it may feel like I’m riding in a yacht.
No matter what, I keep riding the waves. I know that we are all doing just that. Riding our unique set of waves.
Here’s what I have learned -

✨It takes tremendous courage to do what you never thought you would do.

✨To live life fully means being willing to let go of what you used to want.

✨To have compassion whenever possible (it’s always possible)

✨Family comes in a multitude of packages.

✨Each of us are all having to make tough choices and I trust that we are all doing our best with the resources that we have.

✨Sometimes you have to trade the known for the unknown.
Here’s what I also know-
I see greatness ahead. I choose to keep my eye on the horizon.
As I go through this, I’m reminded of another quote -
🔥
“If it feels like you’re going through hell, keep going.”
🔥
So I will.
In case you need a gentle reminder, no matter what you’re going through..... keep going.
Do what you have to yo do to Sprint, Run, Walk, or Crawl.....
Always keep going.

At 3:48pm on this day four years ago, a miracle was brought into the world and we named her Skyrah.

Skyrah means eternal life, strength, love, and beauty. She has more than lived up to her name.

This day will forever be the day that made me a mommy. This will always be the the day I realized what I was capable of.

To my favorite girl in the world here is what I want you to know -

You are loved beyond measure, limit, and bounds.
You are capable of anything you really want in your life.
You are resourceful, smart, bold, kind, dynamic, and powerful
You are a bright light in the world
You are forever my greatest gift and blessing

Happy Birthday baby girl. I love you.

As a person who adores community, group fitness, hugs, and dinner out with friends, I notice that this time time of has stirred up a lot for me. I have hit lows and highs, ups and downs, and have been feeling all of it fully.

Today I had a bit of a revelation after meditation this morning.

I realized that I had been asking for this..... For a chance to slow down and feel more fully.

I had been asking for more time to reconnect with what really matters.

I had been craving the space to do puzzles and watch and with my amazing daughter.

Even though I had been craving this.... I had no idea it would come to this world in this way.

So, since this time has been chosen for me, today I thought:

What if this is the perfect chance to slow down and recommit to what matters?

I’m that light, I am choosing to reconnect to deep authentic connection, health, laughter, rest, gratitude for what is, vision for what can be, hope, courage, and radical unprecedented love.

Dave Hollis said, “In the rush to return back to normal, use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to.”

This hits home for me as I consider my “normal life” - I am rushing back to yoga, restaurants, state parks, vision casting events, beaches, and most of all - hugs. I am so ready to get my hug on!

Until that happens, I’ll be virtually hugging you from here.
