Justice for Survivors

It takes a community to challenge harmful norms and end GBV.

Ending Gender-Based Violence is not the work of one person — it is the responsibility of all of us.

GBV thrives in silence, in harmful cultural norms, and in communities that look away.
But it ends when we choose to:

👥 Speak up
🤝 Stand with survivors
📚 Challenge harmful beliefs
🏡 Create safe homes and communities
👀 Hold abusers accountable

Real change begins when communities unite to reject violence in every form and protect every woman, girl, man, and child.

As more college students have sought help for mental health in recent years, counseling centers have struggled to keep up. In response, some centers have redesigned how they interact with students initially — providing more rapid access — and the counseling itself.

Not All Forms of Abuse Leave Bruises

Abuse isn’t always loud. It isn’t always visible.
Sometimes it looks like fear hidden behind a smile…
A voice that has grown quiet…
A heart carrying wounds no one can see.

Emotional, psychological, financial, and verbal abuse can be just as damaging as physical violence.
They break confidence, isolate victims, and slowly erase a person’s sense of self-worth.

Today, let’s remember:

🧡 Their stories matter. Their healing matters. Their safety matters.
