The White Pass Community Food Bank is open for business as usual. Yesterday, Monday June 8, 2020, someone erroneously placed a message on Google that the food banks in Randle and Morton were closed. This is NOT true.

The White Pass Community Food Bank is continuing to operate. If there should be a change, an announcement will be made on this page. Below is our standard message which remains in effect.

For the last three weeks, the Washington National Guard has been preparing food boxes of nonperishable items like canned vegetables, soup, and pasta. Usually, one box is sufficient for a family. These boxes are a big help and the National Guard's support is greatly appreciated.

Food Bank During Coronavirus

The White Pass Community Food Bank will be open as usual during the period of the Coronavirus.
That is: on the first and third Friday of each month from 9 to 11 AM at the Randle United Methodist Church, 116 Kindle Road in Randle.

However, during the Coronavirus period there will be a slight modification on how we give food items to our customers in order to follow the guide lines for social distancing.

As of last Friday, 3/20/2020, in order to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, or Covid-19, we have asked all customers to follow the social distance guide lines of keeping at least 6 feet apart and staying inside their vehicles at all times. We are now operating the food bank like a McDonald’s drive through. Each vehicle should stop at the start of the ramp near the food bank entrance where our greeter will determine how many customers per vehicle will receive groceries. Other volunteers will stay inside the building and prepare carts with bags of groceries to match the number of customers receiving food items for each vehicle. The grocery carts will then be passed to outside volunteers at the end of the ramp who will load the groceries into each vehicle while the customers remain inside the vehicle.

Be safe and thanks for your cooperation

Finding the White Pass Community Food Bank

Our building looks like a church, and that it is. But we are a community food bank that shares a building with the Randle United Methodist Church. You don’t have to be affiliated with the church to receive food assistance, and we welcome everyone regardless of race, color, religion, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by law. You can find us on the first and third Friday of every month between 9 and 11 AM (the line starts forming about 7:30 AM) just off US Highway 12 at Kindle Road, a mile east of central Randle, Washington. We hope to see you soon!
