🌟We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news with our community: Gifford has earned both a 5-star Overall Hospital Quality Rating and a 5-star Patient Survey Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating possible in both categories.

For us, this recognition is about more than stars. It reflects the compassion, dedication, and teamwork our staff brings to every patient interaction, every day. It also reflects the trust our patients and communities place in us across central Vermont.

We believe exceptional care should be close to home, and these ratings reinforce that patients can receive high-quality, patient-centered care right here in the communities we serve.

Thank you to our incredible team, our patients, and our community for being part of this achievement! We’re honored to care for you.

Our Emergency Department provides patients with expert emergency care and some of the lowest wait times in the nation, but what truly sets our team apart is the compassion behind every interaction.

Here, you’re not just a number. You’re our neighbor. If you or a loved one need emergency care, you can count on Gifford for skilled treatment delivered with warmth, kindness, and heart.

We’re grateful to this patient for sharing their experience with our caring ED team.

🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏍️ The momentum is building for the 21st annual Last Mile and it’s starting with an incredible $50,000 kickoff gift toward this year’s $200,000 fundraising goal!

For more than two decades, our community has come together to support Gifford’s end-of-life care programs, helping patients and families receive comfort, compassion, and meaningful support during life’s most important moments.

This year’s Last Mile takes place August 14–15 in Randolph and includes a 5K run, 1- or 2- mile walk, gravel and road bicycle rides, and an 80 mile motorcycle ride. Every mile and every dollar raised helps provide things like alternative therapies, transportation, family meals, estate planning, and even final wishes for patients and their loved ones.

Join the momentum. Register, fundraise, sponsor, or donate today and help us build on this amazing $50,000 start!

From patients to staff, Bella brought joy everywhere she went and reminded us all of the healing power of connection, compassion, and a furry friend by your side. 🐶
