Brookstone Estates of Rantoul provides a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home for older adults who need some help to maintain their independence. The community is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program, which enables us to serve adults 65 and older of all financial means, including those on Medicaid. Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve in addition to the personal assistance and help with medications that they need. Brookstone Estates of Rantoul is managed by Gardant Management Solutions, a mission-driven company that is the largest provider of affordable assisted living in Illinois.

Performer Spotlight: Norma Jean
Norma Jean has been with the Brookstone Theater since its beginning. Her theater
credits include The Queen Bees, The Shopping Cart Marauder, and The Case of the
Candy Cottage. Norma Jean brings laughter and great comedic timing to every role
she performs. In addition to acting, Norma Jean is very talented in costume design.
She has even stepped outside the box by playing a male role in one of the
productions. Norma is also involved in the annual trivia competition with other
communities throughout the state of Illinois. Norma Jean enjoys performing comedy
and making everyone laugh. She is retired from Carle Hospital and now fills in helping
with activities. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her famil

The Men’s Group had a very interesting discussion today led by Harold!

He shared the history of one of the oldest remaining buildings in southern Illinois—the Crenshaw House, also known as the Old Crenshaw House. Built by John Crenshaw, who made his wealth in the salt mining business, the home sits in Gallatin County, ironically near a town called Equality.

For many years, the house was open for public tours, and stories have long been passed down that enslaved individuals were once held captive inside. It sparked a thoughtful and engaging conversation, and everyone really enjoyed learning more about this piece of Illinois history.

Look how cute these turned out! Our Bunny Craft activity was the talk of the community today. The residents had such a wonderful time creating their adorable bunnies, sharing laughs, and showing off their creativity.

It’s always so special to see everyone come together for fun crafts and great conversation. These little bunnies brought lots of smiles around Brookstone! 🐇💐

Great job to everyone who participated — they turned out absolutely adorable! 💛
