I have been working on a Blend using wonderful ancient biblical plant essential oils!
The Bible references many herbs, plants & oils. The essential oils were not even around until the 17-18 century. The ould decribed in the bible were infused oils from aromatic plants/ herbs & spices!
My love for resins and ancient healing from the plants & herbs that our Lord gave us are unbelievable!
My brain is overwhelmed with such wonder scents and knowledge that is so encompassing !
This is a blend I am working on but it’s missing 1-2 more essential oils’
It will be called. The New Jerusalem Blend.
So far it’s lovely.
It has the following essential oils.
1. Cistus also called Rock Rose, or Rose of Sharon. Cistus ladanifer
2. Frankincense serrata Boswellia serrata
3. Myrrh Commiphora myrrha
4. Styrax or Benzoin Styrax benzoin
5.
Mastic leaf Pistacia lentiscus
6. Labdanum Absolute Cistus ladaniferus
7. Copaiba oleoresin Copaifera officials

To all my FB friends & followers. Many of you know me and know I am not a reader of novels . I am a researcher. I have been since a young child. I was intrigued on how, what, why and where something became, appeared & was made !
I love ancient and old world ways!
So, this holiday season I will be debuting a new balm. It will have a connection to Jerusalem and Monks!
I may even make a perfume roller too!
Ancient medicine and herbs hold a special interest as do Resins in my heart❤️.
So stay tuned !
Just heads up too. I have 2 fall craft fairs. One in Shawnee and one in Iola.
I will also have my annual open house in November!

I am not much of an alcohol drinker, but occasionally do enjoy a home made liqueur. I have mulberry and now blackberry liqueur brewing . The berries are wild from my property. We have a mulberry tree.

I have pressed flowers for multitude of years. They are so pretty and make nice gifts on my homemade book markers, homemade paper and on soap!
I have always pressed not microwaved.
I have used paper towels or other paper, along with a heavy book. I finally invested in a flower press. I have looked at them for years and wanted a fairly large one. I also thought about making one. So excited!
